The ideal applicant will be an experienced Graphic Designer, an ‘all-rounder’ looking for a varied role within an exciting organisation. Working alongside the creative team you will be responsible for the entire range of visual/design needs for both the entertainment and interactive work the company produces. As an indication, this could include any number of the following tasks; poster design, gameshow design, show/set design, user interface (UI) design, LED content (film/animation), free-hand drawing etc. We’re happy to hear from individuals with a range of skills and previous experience.
Key Tasks and Specific Skills required:
As a minimum we would expect extensive experience using design programmes such as; Adobe Creative Suite CS6 (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects & PremierPro).
This role would also suit those with experience of 3D modelling and animation with knowledge of 3D Max/Maya/Cinema4D desirable but not essential.
Knowledge of Light Baking, Rigging, FBX/Collada Export for game development is also desirable but again not essential.
Designing for print media (on a large and small scale from cue cards and posters to staging banners)
Designing elements for AV and multimedia use
Experience of staging is essential and must be able to realise your designs on stage.
Developing new, cost effective ideas to a tight timescale
Ability to work towards tight deadlines managing multiple projects
Great eye for detail and a passion for high standard delivery
A ‘can do’ attitude
Responsible for concept development, graphic design and layout to enhance the visual customer experience
Ability to effectively communicate and manage relationships with external suppliers and senior management
Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair
A flexible approach when working in a team
Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs
Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design
Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time
Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print
Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, web developers and marketing specialists
